Parliamentary constituencies of Jharkhand

There are 14 parliamentary constituencies. In this, two are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates. These are namely : Singhbhum and Palamu. And Dumka, Khunti, Lohardaga and Rajmahal are reserved for Scheduled Tribes candidates.

Jharkhand has a total population of 3,29,88,134. In this, about 1,69,30,315 are men and 1,60,57,819 are women. The literacy rate is only 66.41% of the total population, which is very low.

There are around 1,99,48,683 total voters in the state. Out of which, 1,05,08,420 are male voters and 94,40,237 are female voters. Totally, there are 24,648 polling stations in the state. And there are about 18,02,248 new voters in this elections.
